When Phil Abbott and Mick Hyde launched Radical in 1997, they knew they were creating something truly unique. Their aim was to produce a high-performance sportscar, utilising superbike technology, for the track and road.
The resulting machinery was a lightweight sportscar faster than the established supercar offering, which has formed a new niche in both the world of motorsport and affordable performance cars.
Some 15 years and 1,400 cars later, Radical’s offering ranges from the introductory SR1 to the jaw-dropping 380bhp SR8.
Meanwhile, its SR3 SL takes Radical’s racing DNA to the streets: combining knowledge from competing across Europe and the USA, including at the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, this 300bhp road-legal car is the perfect track-to-road machine.
